This FAW course covers all aspects of basic life support including CPR, bleeding, unconsciousness, choking, head injuries, sprains and strains and a vast range of First Aid conditions that you may experience in the workplace.

Emergency First Aid at Work - Level 3 Award - 1 day
Course comprising a minimum of 6 hours of practical and theoretical training covering responsibilities; assessment of the situation; first aid hygiene; resuscitation; anatomy; choking; bleeding; shock; epilepsy; minor injuries and dealing with an unresponsive casualty. Defibrillation - Level 2 Award (CPR & AED skills) 1-day
The very practical 1-day course will allow suitably qualified First Aid personnel to use the AED competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of the AED, but also revisits some basic First Aid skills, including resuscitation. All students are offered a 3 year qualification, subject to assessment.

Appointed Person Course - 2 hour
Where an employer’s assessment of First Aid needs identifies that a First Aider or Emergency First Aider is not necessary, the minimum requirement on an employer is to appoint a person to take charge of the First Aid arrangements, including looking after equipment and facilities, and calling the emergency services when required.
